Sisterhood Initiative Scholars:
- Receive a dedicated advisor throughout their entire college journey to provide them with academic and professional support
- Get matched with a Peer Mentor for their first year to help build connections across the program and get acquainted to the university
- Attend a dedicated seminar for their first and second years at UW covering topics such as: identity exploration, self-care, and professional development
- Participate in a New Scholars retreat focused on community building
- Gain access to unique opportunities such as professional panels, self-defense courses, visits to the Seattle Art Museum, yoga & meditation classes, and other SI Scholar exclusive programming events!
The SI is a community that promotes success in being your authentic self. If you are interested in building community and receiving dedicated support, then the SI could be a good fit for you!
Applications Open Spring Quarter
How To Apply:
- Eligibility: Students admitted to the University of Washington (Seattle Campus) as incoming first year students for Fall 2025 are encouraged to apply*
- Complete and submit the Sisterhood Initiative Application by May 9th, 2025 at 5:00pm PST
- Selected candidates will be invited to attend a virtual interview in May.
- Applicants are notified with their decision in early June and must accept or decline their spot in the program by the specified deadline in their offer letter.
*Applicants must be entering their first quarter at UW as a full time student in Fall 2024. Students with advanced credits (ex: Running Start, AP/IB) are still eligible to apply; however, please note that preference will be given to students with freshman standing (0-44 credits).
